To mark World Down Syndrome Day Limerick legend Pádraig O’Callaghan is here to tell us about how much he loves sports and to encourage people to get involved with Special Olympics Ireland!
He is only ten, but he loves lots of sports and he wants to represent Ireland in the Special Olympics some day. You might recognise Pádraig from RTÉ News. He started his own ‘Paudcast’ during the lockdown for some Monday motivation.
Due to Covid-19, Special Olympics Ireland have taken to the virtual space and Pádraig is promoting the #CantStopNow campaign. Even though we have to stay apart it doesn’t mean these athletes are stopping.
You can find out more here: Special Olympics – Cant’s Stop Now
And you can find out about their Young Athletes Programme HERE
Thanks so much to Pádraig for making the video! He is BRILLIANT!!
